Four Covid-19 cases reported in WNB, Port Moresby

FOUR more Covid-19 cases have been reported in West New Britain and Port Moresby taking the national total so far to 819, officials say.
Two were reported in WNB and two in Port Moresby.
In WNB, two men aged 39 and 47 tested positive.
When they were tested, the 39-year-old was not showing symptoms of the Covid-19 while the 47-year-old was coughing.
In Port Moresby, a 44-year-old woman living in the Moresby North West electorate tested positive and a man, 89, living in the Moresby North-East electorate was admitted to hospital on Dec 30.
The man was experiencing fever, cough, lethargy, loss of taste, loss of smell and shortness of breath.
Nine people have died so far from the Covid-19.
Travel restrictions are currently in force in WNB and East New Britain because of a recent surge in cases.
