Fourth mention

A 27-YEAR-OLD man appeared in the Waigani Committal Court charged with sexual penetration of a minor.
Orex Mea from Ihu, Gulf was allegedly involved in the persistent sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12 .Mea appeared before Magistrate Cosmas Bidar on Monday for the fourth mention of his case.
The matter was adjourned to Dec 9 to allow the defendant to find a lawyer.
The victim is a grade four student at the Tengei Christian Academy.
It was alleged that Mea was a family friend and had lived with them at their Tokarara residence.
On June 25, around 5pm, it was alleged that Mea and the victim were alone in the house.
While they were waiting for the victim’s parents to arrive from work, Mea allegedly called the girl into a room and sexually assaulted her.
