ALL 12 franchise teams endorsed to take part in the 2015/2016 National Soccer League (NSL) have paid their team and player registrations, competition manager Simon Koima says.

The deadline for registration was last Friday and Koima, who was in Lae for the Besta Cup challenge, said most teams paid their registrations and were now looking forward to the competition, scheduled to kick off on November 14.

Koima said they would have this week to go through the verification process to confirm payment details before they release the draw by Friday.

In the new NSL format to be used this season, there will be six teams for the Southern conference and six in the Northern conference.

After the completion of the games in the first 15 weeks, they will advance to the next stage, the National Champions League.

The Champions League would run for six weeks before the finals in April.

Franchises will be advised of the major cash prize awards on offer once the National Soccer League board confirms everything in terms of their financial break up.

Meanwhile by now, as part of preparing for the competition, most teams would have finalised their players, coaching staff and management teams.
