Free education making us lazy

Letters

THE Government has brought back the free education policy and in doing so, lifted the burden of parents paying fees and relieve them from stress.
However, on the other face of the silver piece, this intervention is discouraging and unhealthy for breeding highly skilled and knowledgeable human capital when it comes to talent acquisition.
I believe this approach evolves from the colony of ego centric political bureaucrats with an underpinning objective to lure and divert audience favour during the general election.
In reality, they are only shifting the burden onto the nation’s workforce.
From the gone years, reports affirmed that when there is free education, it automatically gives students and parents the impression that they are granted with financial freedom.
They are made to believe that there are no issues associated with such as policy.
This results in parents becoming lazy and not working hard for their children’s education.
Students then take education lightly.
