MEMBERS of Nambawan Super Limited can buy a smartphone from bmobile-Vodafone at a discounted price of K99-in a special deal.

The deal was reached with the telecommunication company to help members access their NSL statements and services.

NSL launched a smartphone app in September to allow members to view their transaction history, contributions credited to their accounts, housing advance eligibility,  latest balance and to update their personal information including contact details.

“The offer we have agreed with Nambawan Super and the one that we are promoting at bmobile-Vodafone is to help Nambawan Super members check their balances and check the status of their applications,” bmobile-Vodafone Group chief executive officer Sundar Ramamurthy said.

Under the arrangement, NSL members would be allowed to purchase one handset on producing their NSL ID cards.

The phones will initially be sold in Port Moresby, Lae, Mt Hagen from Thursday.

Ramamurthy said bmobile-Vodafone staff would be stationed at those Nambawan Super regional offices to sell the phones and facilitate activation onto the smartphone app.

He said the phones would be issued with free SIM cards and members would get over K600 worth of calls, SMS and data.
