Funded by ADB

Many people in Chimbu are still confused about who really funds rural feeder roads in the province.
Examples are the famous Gumine, Kundiawa-Gembogl, Chuave-Keu and Mingendi Kup roads. Many say their MPs did it.
Wrong.
Those roads were funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and were done through the sweat of some hardworking public servants in Chimbu, who wrote proposals to persuade donor agencies to fund them but remained silent even though they deserved recognition.
Chimbu people should be aware that those roads were long-distance sealed roads and cost hundreds of millions kina in which none of the MPs or DSIP funds were involved. There is a big difference or gap between the DSIPs fund and donor funds.
The only district in Chimbu to use its DSIP to fixed its entire feeder roads was Sinasina-Yongomugl electorate under the strong leadership of MP Kerenga Kua despite being in the Opposition bench.
Some roads in the three LLGs (Yongomugl, Suai and Tabare) closed for more than 10 years but now they see light at the end of the tunnel.
