The Games Organising Committee will be briefing the regional media at the upcoming Pacific Islands News Association’s Media Summit in Noumea New Caledonia.

The Media Summit is a gathering of journalists from around the Pacific including Australia and New Zealand every 2 years to hold their Annual General Meeting and also to discuss issues affecting the media in the region.

Chief Executive Officer of the Games Organising Committee Peter Stewart will be making  presentations at the summit to be attended by over 150 delegates from the region including Australia and New Zealand.

Mr Stewart will be addressing the PINA Oceania National Olympic Committee Roundtable discussion where national federations will meet on the first day of the Summit. He will later make a lunch presentation on the final day of the weeklong summit.

Mr Stewart says the summit will be a great opportunity for the Games Organising Committee to update journalists from the Pacific on the progress of the Games so they can take that message back to their respective countries.

“Journalists from the 22 participating countries attending the 2015 Games will be at the summit, so it is an opportune time to update them on the progress of the Games and we will also be more than happy to answer any questions that they may have about the Games, and tell them about how we are preparing for them”. The Summit will run from the 10th to the 14th of February.
