SIX months out from the start of the 2015 Pacific Games, the Pacific Games Council said preparations will be a tight finish but progress still remains on track before the official opening in Port Moresby in July.

Contractors are still working around the clock to complete venues and accommodation in time for the 28-sport event.

Pacific Games Council executive director, Andrew Minogue said work on the facilities was moving ahead quickly and while it would still be a close finish, “everything looks good”.

“We had some information just last week that the Games Village is actually doing a little bit better than what we perhaps thought at this sort of stage of the development,” he said.
