Gender-based violence

GENDER-based violence (GBV) is an ongoing issue which affects many peoples’ lives in our society today.
I see GBV happens in family homes between wives and husbands.
There is lack of understanding and respect among the couples, thus, events unfold like death.
Men and women should know that marriage is not just to satisfy one’s sexual desire.
According to the Bible, God created the first couple.
He blessed, sanctified and instructed them to multiply.
Hence wife and husband should know the purpose of starting a family.
They are stewards of the family.
God united them to take care of their off spring/descendants as God’s blessing to them.
Wife has to understand husband and vice-versa.
Most importantly, they must change their mindsets and create a decent environment at home.
They must be positive role models to each other, their children and the wider community.
