Get it right on NID printer

Letters

IT is disappointing to note that you have printed a letter from a person with no identity on the National Identificatio Project work (NID work needs vision, Dec 6).
While I do not want to enter into a print media dogfight with your unidentified correspondent, I cannot stand back and witness the misprinting of factual information on the NID Project.
The letter to you as editor expressed the person’s opinion on how he or she would like to run the NID Project and that’s fair enough as we live in a democracy.
But the information you printed on the NID card laser printing capacity is wrong.
The two NID laser card printers (now five years old) are able to print a maximum of one card per minute per machine per a print cycle.
For each machine, this equates to 10 cards printed per 10 minutes.
My question now is, where did the 1000 National Identification cards printing per one minute or 10,000 cards per 10 minutes as quoted come from?
