Girl, 11, man test positive for Covid-19 in Port Moresby

A 40-year-old man is the latest coronavirus case in the National Capital District (NCD).
He was reported on Saturday.
According National Pandemic Response Controller David Manning, this brings the total number of cases in NCD to 331 and 551 in the country.
Manning said a 11-year-old girl student tested positive for Covid-19 in NCD on Friday.
“The case was a resident of Taurama in Moresby South,” he said.
“She had no symptoms at the time of testing but is a contact of a positive case.”
Manning said the man, “a resident of Moresby North East, the latest case had fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills and headaches at the time of testing.
“To date, 26,620 people have been tested for the coronavirus.
“There are 31 samples pending.
“A total of 528 people have recovered from Covid-19 whilst 10 active Covid-19 cases are being isolated.
“The country’s death from remains at seven.”
