Give Sir Peter shot at PM’s seat

Letters

THIS is an appeal to our members of parliament and the public not to be fooled by the same group of people who brought this country to its knees with their massive borrowings and blatant corruption.
Prime Minister James Marape, former PM Peter O’Neill and the People’s National Congress party are still the same.
Their recent media outbursts against each other is only for a few fools to believe and digest.
Under the PNC government, Marape was the financial controller of the nation’s purse, Richard Maru was in charge of the development budget as National Planning Minister and Charles Abel was the treasurer.
O’Neill was the PM.
During that tenure, millions of kina was politically dictated by these named politicians to their own electorates and those few that were close to them without due concerns for other districts and provinces.
Other provinces and districts were ignored of their public investment programme submissions and operated out of their annual district services improvement programme (DSIP) and provincial services improvement programme (PSIP) funds.
Donor and aid funds and programmes were diverted to their own districts and provinces whilst others were ignored when submitting their development plans and programmes. I urge all our MPs to form a completely new government and elect a new leader as our PM who will share resources equally as our founding father Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare used to do.
I believe an ideal candidate for the country’s top post in a new government will be Grand Chief Sir Peter Ipatas, the Enga Governor.
He started his political career as a simple councillor and demonstrated exemplary leadership to come this far.
Before Sir Peter bows out of politics, let us rally behind this visionary Engan leader and make him complete his last chapter of his distinguished political career by becoming the PM.
This will fully complete his political biography from being a young councillor to becoming PM.
I believe our learned leaders will not make a mistake to electing Sir Ipatas as our country’s next PM.
His leadership qualities and vision needs not to be told and repeated.

  • All our prayers to God Almighty Father through Jesus Christ His Son for a wise and right leadership for a Prime Minister as the true and the quality leader and blessed Son, Father or Mother who has very heart for this country and its people has never been answered yet since Independence of this country in September 16th, 1975. All we the people see, ear and smell on all the eight PMs is that they act as the wolves under the goats ( meme) skin. You know what the goat (meme) is like and how it eats and calls like an empty drum and making unreastic promises and policies that are bad for this country under the sun all day? Who will be the next 9th PM? Let us keep praying and waiting.
