Kama’s story inspiring
BAL Kama’s story in The Weekender edition of The National on July 17 is inspiring and adventurous.
It’s full of ambitions and drive to achieve and succeed no matter what for this young ambitious intelligent Chimbu man.
Coming from a simple village to attend various schools in PNG and then moving abroad and studying in a metropolitan environment in Sydney and facing a lot of challenges is incredible indeed.
Getting a double bachelor degree and skipping masters degree and getting a doctorate of philosophy (PhD) in Law from the Australian National University is commendable achievement with lots of merit and pride for himself, his family, tribesmen from Gumine and the people of Chimbu.
His numerous papers presented in international forums and also representing the Pacific and meeting the Queen of the Commonwealth speaks volumes.
May he now stand tall and join the list of PhD holders from Chimbu which is currently over 20 and the highest in the country for a small province.
I am sure he will contribute immensely to the legislative and judiciary arms of the government in PNG and the Pacific.
Cannot wait to read his book when published.
