God’s presence felt during ceremony

Letters

THE almighty God’s tangible presence was clearly felt on Repentance day at the Sir John Guise Stadium on Wednesday.
His hand of favour and blessings were clearly provoked and invoked by a church that stood in unity and solidarity under His name only to repent and pray for PNG led by Prime Minister James Marape and church leaders. This was clearly seen through the natural phenomena’s displayed.
Firstly, there was a pillar of cloud over the stadium precincts.
Then came a gentle drizzle, more like the falling of morning dew upon the stadium.
Dew in the Bible is symbolic of the Holy Spirit and His presence and his anointing. Not one person in the crowd showed any sign of discomfort.
They simply soaked in the anointing and participated undeterred by these natural displays of God’s hand at work.
Then the gentle dew increased to showers which we all agree were clear showers of God’s blessings.
When the word was delivered as fresh manna from above, culminated by the blowing of the shofar (trumpet) and a prophetic decree was released, the drizzle ceased and sun burst through onto the stadium. Sometimes we can mistakenly take it as normal natural things and so easily miss the message.

  • Mr. Joseph Walters, Sir are you a Reverend OR a Pastor ??. Have you ever studied Theology at a University or an Educational Institute. I sat and watched the proceedings. It was 2 things, Very Interesting and VERY disturbing. More like Witchcraft rather than Christianity.

  • I am a believer but I must say that to declare such is quite a show off political propaganda and not faith. All our PMs throughout history has been chosen by God. Declaring that James Marape is the chosen one by God defeats the power of democracy. People have the power to change PM and not a servant of God to tell people that this is the PM annointed by God. You servant blo God, wokim wok blo yu lo lotu na noken involve lo Politics.

  • merely like drizzle but dribble!Rain, drizzle, sunshine clouds quite normal any meorologist will verify this. Mr Rev stop making redactorial interpretive statements that are

  • The likes of Joseph Walters lobbied then then Government of the day to declare this so called Repentance Day. It may have been a celebration in POM but here in Goroka, it was another Public Holiday.
