Goi wants parents, leaders to be responsible in meeting school fees

Community Development Youth and Religion Minister Wake Goi is calling on parents and elected leaders to be responsible and pay all school fees next year.
He said the Government was paying 63.4 per cent of the fees and the balance should be taken care of by the parents, open MPs and provincial governors.
Goi said no child has to be at home because education was important and a right for everyone to earn.
He said it was no good depending more on the government, instead everyone should feel responsible.
“As parents it is about time you should cut down on some areas where you spend unnecessarily and start saving up,” Goi said.
He said this Government had visions to raise the younger generation through providing quality education.
Goi said education was a right for everyone to earn, instead of waiting on the Government.
He said parents should not become lazy when they have the responsibility of raising children.
