Government needs to settle debt with NSL

Letters

EVER since it was revealed that
the Government had not paid its component of contributions to the Nambawan Superannuation Ltd (NSL), little was done to settle the debt.
Regardless of what has been said or promised, it all comes back to the country’s financial situation.
The Government should look at different avenues or solutions.
One option is to offset an NSL contributor’s income tax to help reduce the amount that the Government owes.
This can be done until the Government recovers from its financial shortfalls.
It is better to resort to our own sources.
It is about time that the Government restores the pride of this giant super fund which is the only form of savings for most civil servants.
