Youth & Careers

Antiragen Youths in the Umi/Atzera LLG of Markham District in Morobe surrendered their homebrew equipment to police recently.
Senior Constable David Waiko who received the items from the youths praised the youths for their bold stance.
Waiko said that producing homebrew was illegal and offenders would be punished if they were caught.
Waiko with community leaders encouraged the youths to look into other proper ways of making money and earn their living instead of practicing illegal activities such as abuse of marijuana and homebrew consumption.
The Antiragen Youths were the second group from the area to surrender their homebrew equipment.
The first group of youths surrendered their homebrew equipment to Mutzing Police Station in Markham district, two weeks ago.
