Group urges MPs to assist

CONCERNED community leaders in Eastern Highlands say they are prepared to meet with Health Minister Michael Malabag, Goroka MP Bire Kimisopa and Governor Julie Soso to address issues affecting the operation of Goroka Base Hospital.
Chairman of the group, Ian Mopafi, said hospital staff union had presented issues affecting the hospital
at their meeting and
expressed disappointment over outstanding issues.
Some of the common issues were staff entitlements such as leave fares, accommodation, medical equipment and supplies.
They also wanted the leaders to appoint a caretaker management for the hospital.
