THE Gulf Provincial Sports Trust through its two flagships PRK Gulf Erema FC and PRK Gulf Isou will be having trial matches tomorrow at the Sir John Guise Stadium.
GPST chief executive Lawrence Lahari made the announcement yesterday calling all Gulf sons and daughters in the city to go and watch the province’s teams the Erema FC, who will take on Kalo FC in a soccer match at 9am and then at 2pm the Isou play the NCDC Vipers in a rugby league trial.
“Erema FC finished first ahead of Hekari in the southern region league of the Football Federation PNG’s Champions League and will be play northern conference winners Morobe FC in the grand final in Lae against Morobe on the March 24 and this trial match against Kalo FC will be great preparation for the team,” Lahari said.
For the Isou the hit out last week against Hela Wigmen was impressive but maintaining the consistency week in and week out will be just as important and head coach Colin Geno will be trying out more players in the trial game against Vipers. “It’s time now for Gulf to shine, it’s our time,” Lahari said.
“Let’s get all of our Gulf people to the Sir John Guise Stadium this Saturday supporting our teams.”
