GULF West have retained Bobby Ako as the president for another term following the Port Moresby Rugby Football League club’s annual general meeting on Saturday.
Ako will lead his new executives in former radio announcer Michael Kapikoro as the treasurer, vice-president Anthony Gukem, secretary Michael Francis, team manager Mahuru Lavare and media officer Jack Ami.
Head coach Nathanl Anjo will be assisted by former Mt Hagen Eagle Tony Korai to prepare the teams for the upcoming season.
Gulf Isapea chairman and West patron Jacob Ivaroa and sponsor John Bige tasked the new board to help the club restore its former glory.
“This is the first time that we have elected a full board unopposed,” he said.
“We hope to deliver positives outcomes in the 2021 season.”
Ivaroa said the club had paid its affiliation and player registration which Gulf Isapea had funded.
