EDENE Gebbie has gained the attention of rugby league scribes in Australia with Nine.com.au reporting that the Wynnum Manly Seagulls fullback has become one of the “hottest properties” on the market for next season.
The former SP PNG Hunters back has been superb in his two seasons in the Intrust Super Cup and has apparently four Sydney clubs chasing him for 2020.
The PNG international has speed to burn and at 24, has a huge future in the game.
A fearless ball runner, he is certain to become a crowd favourite when he gets his chance in the NRL next season.
Gebbie was the Hunters rookie of the year last season before joining Wynnum this season, where he has also been prominent leading the ISC in average metres per game at 220m and the most tackle breaks with 66 from nine games so far this season.
