PAPUA New Guinea National Rugby League Digicel Cup board chairman Sudhir Guru is impressed with the standard and quality of the PNG Defence Force Murray Barracks Oval.

Guru said his board guaranteed the match between the Gulf Isapea and Port Moresby Vipers to be played in the nation’s capital after the request by the Port Moresby Rugby League.

Guru said the oval was not an appointed ground by the PNGNRL (only trialed) but he was impressed with the crowd behaviour yesterday.

He said there was a possibility where both teams could use the ground for their home games.

PRL chairman Dr. James Naipao thanked the PNGNRL chairman for accepting their request.
