Hagen businessman backs local youth

A BUSINESSMAN in Western Highlands has allocated more than K20,000 to engage youths in sporting activities to keep them engageed in positive activities.
Arnold Kuk gave the money through his company Kalex Security Services to the young men residing in Mt Hagen to play rugby league with an eye to preparing players for the Mt Hagen Eagles, who will be elligible to return to the Digicel Cup.
The Eagles were given a three-year ban after their 2016 preliminary final against the Agmark Gurias ended in violence.
Kuk said education and sports were perhaps the two areas the youth could engage in and benefit from.
The eight-team competition, which runs over 15 weeks, started last Sunday. Teams: Ninjas, Fox 10, Bombex, City Raiders, BMB Brothers, Kunai Brothers, Down Town Panthers, Kay Brothers.
