A WARD councilor in the Mt Hagen central electorate, Western Highlands, has claimed that the new enrolment forms for the electorate have gone missing at the electoral office in Mt Hagen.
He said the new electoral enrolment forms were registered with serial numbers attached by the Electroal Commission headquarters in Port Moresby but these were not available at the Hagen branch.
He said when he asked the Western Highlands returning officer Gordon Nikints on the whereabouts of the new electoral enrolment forms, he (Nikints) replied he had no idea about the forms.
“I flew to Port Moresby to find out myself when the EC head office responded that the forms had already sent. I don’t know where they are now,” he said.
He said Mt Hagen electoral office must explain where the enrolment forms so that the eligible voters in his council ward could be registered for the coming election.
He said all the 48 councilors in the electorate were still waiting for these forms.
