Hardware Haus to sell lighting products in POM, Lae

QUALITY lighting has entered the PNG market through a partnership between Hardware Haus and the international manufacturer Osram.
Hardware Haus general manager Steve Beattie said they would exclusively sell the lighting products in Port Moresby and Lae before expanding to other centres.
Beattie said this was part of the company’s strategy of delivering quality products of global standard and at reasonable prices to PNG customers.
“The strategy is getting quality brands into the PNG market exclusively so that we could supply them to the market with the warranty and the guarantee that comes with the exclusivity,” he said.
He said manufacturer would be supplying the Osram and Ledvance products exclusively to Harware Haus.
“The PNG market deserves the right and quality products,” Beattie said.
Osram channel head trade Neil Fonseca said the products were of a global quality standard and would cater to the demand in PNG.
“We have Osram and Ledvance as our two brands. We are a German company headquartered in Munich and are 110 years old and still going strong,” Fonseca said.
“Our only business is lighting. We know what we are doing and what we are talking about.”
He said LED was not a new technology.
“We were selling it almost 15 years ago but it was not commercially viable until very recently,” he said.
