THE Nasfund Contributors Savings and Loans Society Limited has opened a branch at Boroko in Port Moresby to further improve services to its members.
Board director Vera Raga said the Boroko branch would service 50 per cent of members based in National Capital District, Central and Gulf.
The branch can cater for up to 15 members in its waiting area, has four service counters, separate counters for its biometric identification service and online portal services, and a meeting room for clients and staff.
It has another branch in Lae.
He said it was part of NCSL’s five-year strategic plan approved by the board and reaffirmed during its strategy review workshop in Lae last year.
The construction of the Boroko branch began in February and cost K240, 000.
“The society’s board and management would like to acknowledge and thank Nasfund for its assistance and support,” NCSL general manager Vari Lahui said.
Lahui said NCSL would continue to look at opportunities to develop its own branch network and implement initiatives under its approved strategic action plan.
“This we believe will further strengthen the society’s position as the fastest growing savings and loans society in the country with a very good record of steady returns to its members,” he said.
