FIJI wonder boy, Tuimasi Manuca has returned to bolster Hekari United’s campaign for the OFC Championship League to be held in Ba, Fiji, in April.

Manuca is no stranger to PNG as he was part of the 2010 Hekari United’s campaign to the FIFA World Club championships in Abu Dhabi.

The Ba striker teamed up with compatriot Taniela Waqa and Pita Bolatoga, who is expected to arrive this week, with another overseas talent Brian Kaltak.

Hekari United team manageress Vonnie Kapi Natto confirmed yesterday that Fijian national striker Manuca arrived in the country with Waqa, and she is expecting Bolatoga and Kaltak before the weekend.

She said Hekari is building up for the OFC Championship League.

Interestingly, Manuca was the goal scorer for Ba against Hekari at Lloyd Robson Oval which denied the PNG champion of the contest last year.

She is confident that Hekari’s overseas contingent will blend well with local players for the premier competition, NSL and the OFC Championships League.

Other overseas players already in the team are Nicholas Muri, Tutizama Tanito from the Solomon Islands and Jean Kaltak from Vanuatu.

Hekari has retained all its players from last year which include David Muta, Raymond Gunemba, Nigel Dabinyaba, Samuel Kini, Daniel Joe, Koriak Upaiga, Joachim Waroi and Calvin Bill.

Hekari United will join six other clubs to take part in 2014 NSL season which include Gigira Laitepo Morobe, Besta United, Lae, (Lae), Huawei Eastern Star, Oro and Admiralty Peliau (Port Moresby) while FC Port Moresby is still in court over their participation.
