A VILLAGE chief of Hela is concerned about rising law and order problems and the breakdown in the public service machinery.
Timothy Hayara said that was affecting the development of the new province.
Hayara said Hela needed to face changes in order to develop, but there were serious issues that needed to be discussed first.
He said all the three open MPs and Governor Anderson Agiru needed to return to their province and start addressing those issues.
If these issues were not addressed, he feared that the province’s future would be greatly affected.
He said if elected leaders returned
to their province and planned its development, it would make a great difference.
“We have resources and minerals, Hela is rich and that is why our leaders need to come home and make plans to use these resources to bring our province and its people forward.”
As a leader in the community, he wanted Hela and the people to face change and good things in life.
