I WISH to express my concern over the Hela election petitions in court and the consequences on decision-making for development and services delivery in the province.
Almost all declared seats in Hela have been brought up to the courts of disputed returns.
The governor’s seat is before the court, petitioned by two separate people.
Tari-Pori held by Finance Minister James Marape will be tested in court.
Fortunately, the Komo-Margarima seat has been cleared, and young lawyer MP Manasseh Makiba will concentrate on his work.
The only exception is Koroba-Lake Kopiago.
