Hela group farewells graduating students

 THE University of Technology Hela Students Association farewelled its graduating students at a dinner in Lae on Wednesday.

Among the graduates were four women – Priscilla Haluya (Bachelor of Business Accounting), Elma Tobias (Bachelor of Food Technology), Dora Tugube (Bachelor of Mathematics and Computer Science) and Alice Mulungu (Bachelor of Business Accounting). 

Sixteen students from the three districts in Hela were presented membership certificates and other awards by the association’s executives.

Association president Jonah Kupia wished the final year students success for the future.

Jeremy Dipok, a mineral processing engineering student, thanked the parents saying without their invaluable support they wouldn’t make it.

Lae businessman and HSA patron Michael Pai urged the students to do something for themselves while still young.
