Help Inland Baining out

Letters

I AM concerned about ward development committees in East New Britain not receiving their allowances.
Since the 2019 election and the formation of ward development committees, some have not received any form of allowances for the good work they are doing in the wards.
There are allocations of funding to all local level government and districts, especially in Gazelle, for years, but some wards have not seen development.
This is a sad reality.
For Rabaul, their MP has allocated more than K40,000 per ward.
What about Gazelle?
Can Gazelle do the same?
In the Inland Baining local level governments, there are 27 wards and the people still face a lot of struggles every day in terms of accessing basic services.
Our roads remain unrepressed.
Some of us are still following bush tracks.
Some wards are located far away that they cannot access clinics and schools.
I am raising this concern issues on behalf of the silent majority in the Inland Baining.
We need Government intervention.
It is the little things that matters.

Avungi Ward Recorder,
