Are those in power more special than us?

Letters

IT has always has been the case where those in authority regard themselves as first-class citizens and utilise resources and services to their advantage without considering the majority of Papua New Guineans.
Earlier this week, the National Pandemic Response Pandemic Controller David Manning there was no need for a re-test after you have done the required quarantine when you initially test positive for the Covid-19.
However, that statement contradicts a story in the other daily on Tuesday where Manning shared his experience of being re-tested and being cleared.
This makes me wonder whether those in authority are treating themselves better than the rest of us.
Every Papua New Guinean is important.
