Help struggling poultry farmers

Letters

I SUPPORT Hatwok Man’s comments in The National.
He was calling on the Morobe government to support the poultry industry.
Some obvious and workable support for the industry can include finding avenues to have stock feed prices reduced, impose controls over imported poultry products and framing up and delivering small to medium enterprises funding programmes specifically for poultry, piggery and similar sectors through the Department of Agriculture and Livestock.
There should be a proper administration in place to assist farmers in that line of business.
I am a poultry farmer and I strongly believe a visionary and timely government support in the mentioned areas will assist thousands of farmers throughout the country and their families.
Such practical initiatives will go a long way in helping our Government’s drive to “Take back PNG”.
