Hilton Hotel gets new manager

RYAN Mikkelson is the new general manager of the Hilton Hotel in Port Moresby after having served for 26 years in the hospitality industry in three countries.
His most recent role was as general manager at Hilton Dili Palm Springs in Timor Leste where he was instrumental in its pre-opening.
A statement said Mikkelson would be driving Hilton Port Moresby’s growth strategy and its market position in Papua New Guinea.
His predecessor John Lucas will become the general manager of Hilton Manila after having served in Port Moresby since 2018 when the hotel was opened.
He has had a significant impact on the business from pre-opening to the successful execution of Apec 2018, to the hotel’s successful first year of trading.
