THE Port Moresby Hockey Association has set Aug 15 as a tentative start date for their competition, pending approval from the national pandemic controller.
Papua New Guinea Hockey Federation president Kaluwin Potuan told The National yesterday that they were seeking clearance for the use of the Sir John Guise Stadium hockey pavilion.
“We are seeking approval from the controller (David Manning) and PNG Sports Foundation to allow us to use the venue,” he said.
“The venue will be open for training from Friday.
“Teams interested to train on the pitch can make reservations at the federation office.
“Training is from 5pm to 10pm during the week but we need approval for competition to start.”
