Hopes set on Marape

Letters

THE writer of a letter published on June 25 “Marape not ready to lead” seemed not to have sound knowledge of the worldly life.
Prime Minister James Marape stood up for the good of the country and pulled out of the O’Neill-led government that got the ball rolling and eventually saw a change.
There were powerful elements in the Parliament who were only talking about removing the O’Neill government.
Yes the writer is right that Marape was not ready to lead this country.
Was David a poor shepherd, the last son of Jesse a nobody, not fully grown; all his elder brothers queued up to prophet Samuel, but Samuel asked Jesse if he had any other son, Jesse replied yes the shepherd boy.
The rest is history.
This young man Marape from nowhere, a no-body was elected to the highest office of the country.
We the Christians are praying for his leadership.
Marape, I have been praying that God gives you a King David heart.
I know all Christians are praying for you.
