Hospital board not inducted

THE Eastern Highlands Health Authority board was not inducted following its swearing-in a year ago.
The appointment was brought before the floor of parliament by Governor Peter Numu and then Health Minister (Elias Kapavore).
The PHA by-laws and the PHA Act 2007 states that the governor and the health minister are the only people in authority to shortlist candidates, make appointments and swearing-in of the health authority board.
