THE National Housing Corporation has submitted all documents required for auditing by the Public Accounts Committee.

NHC director John Dege gave a stack of thick folders to committee chairman John Hickey yesterday at the inquiry in Port Moresby as requested by the panel at a previous meeting.

The documents provide information regarding matters of the NHC, including housing registration, property information and purchases, types of purchases and housing progrgammes in the country.

Hickey said his team would go through the documents to ensure that the NHC had a set of functional roles for its board, identified the rightful owners and beneficiaries of its programmes and problems that could stall important processes.

“PAC will look carefully and with interest at these documents,” he said.

“The PAC secretariat will identify problems that may have or will stall important development progress.”

Dege admitted that the NHC did not have a functional board and effective policy.
