How was NCDC’s K5m to Motu-Koita utilised?

I WAS  amazed  to  learn  that NCDC allocated K5 million to the Motu-Koita Assembly  in  2013 as part of its efforts to bring development to the Motu-Koita people.

However, there is nothing to show for it and there are no financial acquittals for the money allocated.

I challenge the people to question their chairman to provide  the acquittals as it is their money and they deserve to know how the money has been used.

K5 million is a lot of money to be allocated to an LLG like Motu-Koita and they are privileged to get such a big amount of money when other LLGs across the country are only allocated with K500,000  by the national government.

Somebody on the ground has to take the lead by stepping in and questioning the chairman.

If the money has been used wisely, all Motu-Koita villages  would  have seen significant changes and benefited greatly from services like clean water, proper electricity, sewerage system, markets or even small financial schemes for people to borrow from an operate mini businesses in the city instead of becoming spectators in their own land.

It is time the Motu-Koita people take part in the development taking place in Port Moresby, which is their traditional homeland and their leaders must be responsible if the people are missing out on basic services.
