Instant fines can cut road crime

I SUGGEST the national roads authorities man major road junctions in the city area in Port Moresby. They can cut down extremely dangerous driving and at the same time raise revenue for our road works or the  departments concerned because a lot is going on in broad daylight there. One of these days a major accident is likely to happen in one of the junctions because drivers are rushng to beat the red light. In the process, they cross the junction or drive through when the light is well into red. Just how dangerous is this? Want to catch drivers instantly? Just stand by the central Waigani junction near the entrance of the Steamship compound/City Pharmacy and see  how many cars are breaking the law blatantly. Arrest and charge these drivers. Better still, give them instance fines.
