Hungry kids get free food with the help of Buswara church

HUNDREDS of unfortunate children at Buswara Settlement outside Port Moresby are fed by a Foursquare church every Saturday.
The church also runs classes for prep and grades 1 and 2 students on week days.
Classes are conducted by volunteer teachers. It also offers sewing classes for women.
The feeding ministry of the Bushwara Foursquare Church took this initiative, says Pr Magi Goro.
Last weekend the Malaysian Association of PNG (MAPNG) donated K50,000 towards this cause.
“We identify problems in the community, the settlement we are living and we try to address which ones affect the most people,” Goro said.
“Women are vulnerable to gender-based violence. Many children in the area are not fed well by parents because many of them don’t work.”
