Hunters extend partnership with Hastings Deering in 2024

THE SP Papua New Guinea Hunters have extended their partnership with Hastings Deering for the 2024 Queensland Rugby League’s Hostplus Cup season.
Hastings Deering has backed the PNG Hunters since 2022, with both organisations working closely together in a partnership that extends both on and off the field.
“We are grateful for the ongoing support of Hastings Deering for a third consecutive year,” PNG Hunters chief executive officer Scott Barker said.
“They are not only helping our players prepare for life after football through skills-based training, but they share our passion for supporting communities right across PNG.
“Hastings Deering has also been a great supporter of a number of our social awareness programmes and health education campaigns and we’re delighted to have them back on board.”
Hastings Deering’s chief operating officer for the Pacific Islands and Rental Solutions, Jason Smith, said like rugby league, the company had a long and proud history in PNG.
“Since our journey began in PNG in 1949, we have played an important part in the region, delivering high-quality products and services to our customers, and creating local employment opportunities within the communities we operate in,” Smith said of the partnership.
“We are proud to continue our support of the Hunters as both organisations are committed to achieving positive change and development at a local level across PNG.”
