IAM a Hunters fan from Wewak, East Sepik.
I bought my Playbox at a cost of K2,000 just to watch my favourite team, the Hunters. Since 2014 I’ve been watching Hunters games.
I am not interested in the State of Origin anymore because the Hunters are my and I get more excited and interested with their performances, more so than the foreign State of Origin.
I am troubled with the losses we have suffered so I have come with some suggestions or tips for you to to consider:

  • Out of the scrum, move the ball out wide to the wing to run and score;
  • While on the attack, try free the ball and offload to another player to continue the attack, try keeping the ball alive a lot longer;
  • Try to stretch the defences so you can have weak areas to attack and please set up for a cross field on the last tackle like they do in the NRL;
  • Captain Moses Meninga is one of the best off-loaders in the Q-Cup so he should have more support to set up second phase play and other players, especially in the forwards, who can off-load (Enock Maki, Stanton Albert) should do the same;
  • The Hunters’ line speed needs to be better than what it has been. We need to be right up in their faces so whoever takes a hit up gets busted up.

These are just some of the things I think need to be focused on.
Over to your men and our master coach Michael Marum.

Faithful fan
I AM a diehard Hunters fan and I still have faith in the team and coach. You guys can do it just like you did it over the weekend.
Go Hunters.
