Hunters look to bounce back from loss

THE SP Hunters will look to bounce back from last weekend’s 60-6 loss when they take on the Easts Tigers in round 18 of the Intrust Super Cup in Wabag, Enga, tomorrow.
Hunters assistant coach Roderick Puname said last week’s match was a test of attitude which his side failed to overcome.
“It’s going to be a good experience for the boys. We want to bounce back,” he said.
“The main focus is just bouncing back. It went all wrong last weekend.
“We didn’t go there with an attitude to play. When we got there, the boy’s fell asleep from the start till the end.
“After they (Sunshine Coast Falcons) scored the first try, we replied. But after that, it was all an uphill battle for us. It was the simple things that let us down.”
The Hunters, who left for Wabag on Wednesday, welcome debutant winger Roy Ellison to the starting side.
“Roy has been here for the last couple of months. He works hard,” Puname said.
“He has been given an opportunity by coach Michael (Marum) so it will be interesting to see how he goes.”
The match, which will be played live on TV WAN Plus, kicks off at 2pm.
