Hunters must buck up

I WATCHED the game last weekend with utmost interest when the PNG Hunters lost to the Ipswich Jets. It was indeed a good game in the first forty minutes, but in the second half, the PNG boys started to be worn out and they made silly ball-handling errors that cost them the game. Despite playing football for perhaps most of our lives here in PNG, basic things like passing, catching, kicking and running with the ball are not being taken seriously. Ball-handling error is a normal thing we experience even on the international arena. Even a two-point ball kicking play is more important, especially in the dying minutes. If we are to be good footballers, we need to totally change our “mi save” attitude and get the basics right.
