A CANDIDATE for the Agarabi local level government (LLG) elections in Kainantu, Eastern Highlands, says he plans to revamp service delivery if elected as councillor for ward one.

Martin Doro Aro said the people of Agarabi had missed out on basic services such as education, health and infrastructure development due to bad governance and leadership.

“The policies and plans that I have in place are to maintain transparency and honesty with how smooth service delivery will flow to the people, basic services that they have been deprived of for so many years,” he said.

“Over the years previous leaders have not been transparent and that had resulted in services not reaching the people.

“I am determined to change the style of leadership in the ward so that people will now benefit in a more sustainable and economical way.”

Aro said it was the right time to implement his plans with the National Government’s allocation of funds directly to the districts and LLGs.

“K500,000 coming straight from the national coffers is a lot of money and candidates must have quality plans in mind to deliver fairly,” he said.
