Illegal business

PUBLIC SMOKING and trading of marijuana is becoming prevalent in Goroka.
Users seem to be unafraid of the legal implications.
Areas like West Goroka and town shopping centres, including Kakaruk Market, are locations for this illegal and lucrative business.
It is happening right under the nose of law-enforcers.
If the police drug unit in Kundiawa can go right into the remote villages of Chimbu and apprehend the drug dealers and growers, I don’t see any reasons why police personnel in Goroka can’t do likewise.
They may regard the situation as trivial and minor, however, this is one of the root causes of social problems in our town.
