Impose complete lockdown

Letters

DEVELOPED nations such as the US, Spain and Russia are doing everything they can to control the spread of the Covid-19 in their countries.
Yet, a developing nation such as PNG, that lacks funding and health equipment, sees fit to let the country run as normal.
By now, the Government should impose total lockdown.
During a short period of time, the number of cases shot up from a single digit figure to over 200.
If there is no complete lockdown, we will experience a surge in new infections and that means we could see thousands of cases within a month or more.
There should be a complete ban on domestic flights as well as public transport.
We Papua New Guineans have a no-care attitude – we like to socialise, shake hands and hug.
Covid-19 cases will keep rising if the Government doesn’t impose a total lockdown.
