Incentives for companies

TALKS are underway to offer incentives to companies and industries who participated in the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic responses, an official says.
National Control Centre Covid-19 response business official Materua Tamarua told a business conference that it could include some form of tax relief.
He said vaccination was the priority and some businesses had provided incentives for vaccinated persons.
He said the biggest Covid-19 pandemic response challenge was compliance.
“We see in our streets and around the country, vaccine apartheid doesn’t help. Social media and the forwarding of damaging massages do not help (us) as well.
“The government (has) limited resources so enforcement is a challenge for the police. Reporting is also a challenge for health and medical staff in the provinces.
“There is a growing number of staff that are experiencing work fatigue, a lot of staff have not taken a break.”
