THE countdown is on for Gulf Isapeas and Huli Wigmen to presentation their cases at the PNGNRL board meeting scheduled for this Saturday in Port Moresby.

With only four more days before the big day, the Isapeas and the Wigmen will put to rest their presentation when their respective representatives go in for the meeting which may be held at Gateway Hotel.

PNGNRL chairman Don Fox confirmed this yesterday but did not confirm the venue however he said that  Gateway was penciled in pending the board’s final decision this week.

The meeting, which is expected to take the whole day, with league followers having a nervous wait to during the following week to know the fate of their teams.

Fox revealed that the competition’s major sponsor’s would be  announced during the  board meeting.

While Central Lagatois have already presented their case in Lae last year, it is expected that Wigmen and Isapeas be given ample time to state their cases.

Past Central franchise Wari Vele Raiders fielded in a team however few Central-natives played and the Isapeas and Wigmen will have to convince the PNGNRL they will not go down that road.

Attempts to contact Gulf CEO Jack Metta failed however, both Isapeas and Wigmen were looking forward to presenting their case.
